The next generation
Youth is the most important pillar for the growth and development of society in the future. Given the right direction, they can create wonders and bring breakthrough innovations that can change the way the world is perceived currently. However, a major chunk of this category is currently under stress and not available for the basic amenities of life. As a result, they often tend to tread away from the regular path and enter into vicious cycles. But, thanks to Samaritans like bashir dawood from the Dawood Foundation, there is still a beacon of hope. Read on to learn more.
About the foundation
Bashir Dawood and Mariyam Dawood are the founders of Dawood Foundation, an organization that is set up for philanthropic reasons and works continuously towards the upliftment of the needy sections of society. Their main focus is on the children, and how can they be brought back into the developmental plan for society.
For them, the needs of the children are much beyond food, clothing, and shelter. They team up with other organizations to provide the best care to such kids.
Teaming up with YMCA
One such example of collaboration is with the YMCA Project Bridge Youth Centre of Singapore. Under this program, bashir dawood and Mariyam decided to provide some underprivileged kids with the taste of one of the craziest sports of the world- Formula One. The following were the activities covered under it:
- Brought a group of 15 youths to witness the Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, where they witnessed the best drivers competing for the podium positions.
- Arrangement of a perfect suite stays for the youth where they are savored with mouth-watering delicacies and engrossed in other entertainment shows for holistic growth.
- Experience of a lifetime where race, parties, weekends, and moments of a lifetime were offered.
The main purpose of getting into such initiatives is to allow the youth to dream big and achieve those like the drivers of F1 cars. With such motivation, the Dawood couple thought that the required push can be given to the kids and they can come out of their comfort zones to achieve the perfect.
Understanding the reason
When asked for the reason to invite such youth to the F1 race, the couple replied that their main goal was to inspire the kids and give them live examples of ways to achieve their dreams. With the small push, the children can start thinking big in their lives, and set the gaols very high to achieve those. The Dawood’s believe that there is nothing impossible for the youth, and they can achieve their greatest potential with the slightest of touches.
